Soil Specialist

In September we have been exploring how plants grow, what makes healthy soil and different types of seeds. Our first project was the edible garden with creative puppet shows and our shovels we prepared the soil and planted kale, swiss chard, lettuce, beets, onions, leeks, and peas.

Growing Strong

The 3rd grade classes have been hard at work in the many different gardens at Albert Einstein Academy. The school campus gardens are all filled with wonderful fruits and vegetables. If you get a chance to walk around notice the new fence that is still being built with bamboo in the African Medicinal Garden and the new banana trees that were transplanted by the 3rd grade classes in Fruit Tree Lane by the obstacle course.
